Data Center World Brazil officially launches during Futurecom 2025

Initiative reinforces the country's leading role in Latin America's digital infrastructure

São Paulo, September 30, 2025

Data Center World (DCW), the leading global event for digital infrastructure and data centers, officially lands in Brazil. The announcement was made today during the 30th edition of Futurecom, Latin America's largest technology and connectivity platform.

Recognized for bringing together the world's leading leaders, experts and global suppliers, DCW arrives in the Brazilian market at a strategic moment, with the country consolidating itself as a regional hub for data storage, processing and distribution. The event's debut occurs in parallel with the announcement of the new REDATA MPQ, a special regime that establishes tax incentives for data centers in Brazil, suspending the collection of various federal taxes that would increase the final cost of equipment used in these facilities.

REDATA, recently launched by the federal government through Provisional Measure No. 1,318/2025, is part of the Brazilian Data Center Policy and is linked to Mission 4 of the Brazil New Industry Program: Digital Transformation, which aims to accelerate the growth of national IT infrastructure with a focus on cloud computing, edge computing and high-performance processing.

"Brazil assumes a strategic role in the expansion of Latin America's digital infrastructure. With a solid base of renewable energy, government incentives and growing demand, the country has ideal conditions to attract investment. Data Center World Brazil arrives at the right time to connect the local ecosystem to global trends, in a sector that is no longer just technological but has become the foundation of digital transformation and economic development," says Leonardo Benedicto, director of Data Center World Brazil.

With Data Center World Brazil, Informa intends to catalyze dialogue among the various stakeholders in the ecosystem, promoting the transfer of knowledge and international best practices that will accelerate the sector's maturation in Brazil. This event represents a milestone for a segment, for digital transformation and the country's sustainable economic development.

International content and networking with industry leaders

Brazilian professionals will have access to Data Center World on national soil, with content adapted to Brazilian reality, maintaining global excellence, strategic networking and exposure to cutting-edge technological solutions.

Program highlights:

Exclusive technical content, with international curation; Debates with industry leaders on hybrid orchestration, data center architecture and energy efficiency; Exhibition of technologies and solutions focused on the next generation of digital infrastructure.

Brazil as a strategic center for data centers

Currently, Brazil concentrates more than 40% of Latin America's installed data center capacity, with attractions such as: abundant supply of clean energy (hydroelectric, solar, wind and biomass); geological stability, essential for the security of critical operations; international connections via submarine cables that link the country to the United States, Europe and Africa; and availability of fresh water, used in advanced cooling systems.

Research & Markets projections indicate that the global data center market should reach US$ 613 billion by 2033, driven by demand for cloud computing, artificial intelligence, 5G and edge computing.
